Installation Guidelines
Ground preparation: Remove any rocks and debris from the desired area of installation.

Staking
- For installations along sidewalks and at curb inlets, it may not be possible to stake the Ninety7 wattles using wooden stakes. However, sandbags and blocks can be used. Sandbags and standard concrete blocks or equivalent should be used to secure the Ninety7 wattle in place. The concrete blocks can be stacked to ensure enough clearance between the Ninety7 wattle and the edge of the grate inlet.
- If the ground is exposed or bare soil, secure the Ninety7 wattle using wooden stakes.
- If the surface is concrete or asphalt, secure the Ninety7 wattle using sandbags and concrete blocks.
Method
- Firmly place the Ninety7 wattle in the desired area, parallel to the curb. Snake the wattle around the square drop inlets, ensuring the ends overlap and are secured in place. Use more than one wattle if needed.
- Use concrete blocks to keep the Ninety7 wattle at the front edge of the inlet to ensure all surface water flows through the thick Ninety7 wattle fabric before flowing into the inlet.
- Secure both ends of the Ninety7 wattle with sandbags or wooden stakes.
- If more than one Ninety7 wattle is used, a 12” overlap should be allowed. Ninety7 wattles should not be abutted.
Maintenance
- Inspect the Ninety7 wattles as required by project specifications and following rainfall events. Repair or replace split, torn, unraveling, or slumping wattles.
- Maintain the Ninety7 wattles to provide an adequate sediment holding capacity. Sediment should be removed and incorporated in the project to blend in with adjacent ground when it accumulates to three-quarters (3/4) of the Ninety7 wattles height.
Removal after Use
Collect and dispose of the accumulated sediment and clean all debris. Dispose of sandbags and recycle the Ninety7 wattles and wooden stakes.
We accept used Ninety7 wattles for recycling.
